Hi Jane. See "Thomas Newell, Who Settled in Farmimgton, CT., A.D. 1632 and his Descendants. Mary A. (Newell) Hall, Southington, CT: Cochrane Bros., 1878. New England Historic Gen. Sic (G/NEW/2581); pp 51 - 2; Susannah ANDREWS (daughter of Sylvester, of Sarah (NEWELL) & Lemuel ANDREWS. b 13 Sep 1804 at Southington CT, m 4 March 1824 Samuel CHICHESTER, a chair dealer of Pear St., New York City, NY. I'm sure they have Andrus & Andrews mixed up. Please WRITE to me at 1024 Spencer St, Carson City, NV 89703; Lois and I are good friends as was Elmer when he lived in Glendale. I'm trying to get the early history of this family straightened out. There is WAY TOO MUCH bad info floating around. Paul.
