Hello,
I am desperately trying to find information about my ggg grandfather Samuel Chichester who was born in 1801(?)poss. Cairo N.Y. and died in 1873 in Poughkeepsie, New York. He married Susan Andrus in 1824 and had 12 sons.
Aronea,(1826) Franklin, Lemuel Andrus, Henry L, Newell Otis, Sylvester Andrus, Paleman Alphonso, Salmon, Charles Sidney and Samuel (1844)
Samuel was a furniture manufacturer and owned the Chichester Chair Factory in Poughkeepsie, New York. His Son Franklin started a sawmill in Chichester, New York.
