Patty: Thanks for the information. Please, if you can, tell me everything you know about this name. I mean, where did your grandfather's parents get to Yugoslavia from?what is the meaning of the name? did they move to Yugoslavia from the west of Europe or were there always there? Were there Christians, muslims, jewish...? I know this three religions have believers in that part of Europe, it is very important for me to have this information.

My mother's grandmother was "Giraldo Chica". I never heard of "Chica or Chicka" and of course, I do not know if there is any relation. I am told "Giraldo" is German.But it seems that "Chica" does not exists except in my family, since I can not find it in any place. The closest I get is "Chicka". Do you know if there were migrations of families with this name into South America? I will appreciate your input.
