You give, as a son of Silas Chick (b 1795/1800), Lankford Chick who was born 1834. Could he have migrated from Kentucky to Illinois and died there in 1861?

On 30 Aug 1857 in Sangamon Co., IL, 'Langford Check" married Sarah Perkins. This family is found in Springfield on the 1860 census (enum 27 July) as: Lank Chick (25 IL laborer), Sarah (20 IL) and Anna (1 IL).

In 1870, Anna Chick (11 IL) is found in Springfield with Sarah's mother; they are they only two in the household.

Langford Chick died 30 May 1861 of consumption and was buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery. His wife remarried, but died in 1868. I have not been able to trace daughter, Anna, after her appearance on the 1870 census.
