I am a descendant of James Chick's dau Mildred, b. 29 JAN 1794, loc unk. She married Peter Engle of VA and both families westered to KY around 1802. According to the book "Ancestors and Descendants of Melchor Engle" by WSH Engle (1940) James also had a dau Ally who married Wade Woodson in 1813.
Records in the DAR library list James children as the two above and:
John, b. 1800, Culpepper Co VA, m. Fanny Ballinger.
James Jr b.?, m. Jennie Cowan
Silas, b.?, m. Anna Cowan
Sally, b.?, m. Joe Yeager, 1806.
Winny, b.?, m. Basil Barnett 1811
