Hi Tod,

This is really great information -- and you just may have hit on a big clue for us.

"You may want to note that Sibella Henderson, sister of Massey Henderson the wife of Burwell Chick, married a Lyles.
Henry and Elizabeth Lyles had children named Burrel, Massey, and Patsy that would indicate a link to Burwell Chick and to Massey Henderson. To put dates into perspective, Massey and Sibella's mother Hannah Sims was born in 1748 and married David Henderson 8 Nov 1765. Massey's birthdate is said to be about 1781, and her marriage about 1805."

My "wild" thought is that there could be a Henderson -- sister to David -- who may have married a Chick -- and it was from them that our Mary Elizabeth Chick arrived on the scene - or it could be a sister to Hannah Sims who married the Chick.

With all the names running down the line -- it's got to be an involvement like that somehow -- and you've given me a couple of more lines and possibilities to check into -- and I do so appreciate it.

I know it's grasping at straws -- but sometimes you just have to work on logic and try to look at the big picture and all the possibilities.

Appreciate all your thoughts and comments -- and brainstorming too.

Best wishes,

Ardie
