William Chick born in the late 1700s is listed as bieng from Portsmouth England according to a book on the hist. of Massac Co IL. He was the origional immigrant to the US in my line. He was a masson worker. He moved to the Cincinnati, OH area sometime in the early 1800 if I'm not mistaken. My Mom has the book that has his story in it. His grandchildren most of them left OH and settled in Southern,IL or CA. Around the time of the CA gold rush.
