Seeking info on GEORGE ALFRED CHICK and MAHALIA CORNHILL. He was b orn Aug. 07, 1823 in Weymouth, England. Father, I believe is Robert (no other info). He died Nov. 28, 1914, in Jackson Co.Kansas.Married Feb. 14, 1847 in St. Helier, Isle of Jersey, England.
She was born Aug. 30, 1822 in Brixham, England. Died Aug. 19, 1857. Her father I believe is GEORGE CORNHILL (no other info).
They had 6 children. After she died George
remarried an ELIZABETH DODD and had several other children.
I am descended from child #1 GEORGE ROBERT CHICK, b. Jan 09, 1848 in Gursensy, England d. Feb. 19, 1894 Where ? . He married MARY ELIZABETH HOBSON b. May 16, 1855 in Lafayette,Tippicanoe Co., Indiana. d. in Winterset, Madison Co. Iowa. They had 8 children. I am descended from #2 LELA MAHALIA CHICK and AUSTIN LYSANDER KNOX. (My grandparents). She was born June 04, 1876 in Centralia, Nemaha Co. Kansas, died Jan o6, 1951, Sacramento, Calif. was married on April 30, 1899 in Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory to Austin Knox b. Sept. 21, 1874 in Morrison, Whiteside Co., Illinois. d. July 19, 1966 in Boise, Ada Co., Idaho.
