I have a George W. (or N.) Chick born in 1849
in Texas. If this is the same one he is a brother to my husband's g grandmother. The
father is Pettis (R or M) Chick, born May 25,
1811 and died April 10, 1880. He is buried in Jones Prairie, Tex. at the Little River Baptist Church. It is in Milam County. His wife's name was Martha
A. ??, she was born in Ky.
Children:
Mary b. 1842 in Ark.
Cornelia b. 1844 in Miss.
**Sara E. born Aug. 21, 1846, died 1929 in Rosebud, Falls Co., Texas, Married Richard N.
Ward
George W.(or N) b. 1848
James P. b 1849
Thomas b. 1853
Charles R. b. 1856
Susan A. b. 1859 from Sara down all were
born in Texas.
Check 1850 Panola, Co. Census
1860 Williamson County Census.
The burial is from one of the books where they copied all headstones.
I sure hope this helps. If it does and you
find anything else, please, let me know.
I am looking for Pettis parents, etc. and more on Martha
Thanks,
Kay Ward
