I don't have a direct Chick line but know a little bit about one Chick family of Maine but do not find the name you are looking for. This may not help you but my grandmother, Nettie Littlefield Stewart, was born in Waterboro. Me. ca1867. She had a sister, S. Jennie, who married a Fred (Pike?) Chick. They lived in Cornish, Maine and had a son, Earl. I have had some correspondence with Earl's daughter who knows more abt the Chick line but nothing she gave me shows a Walterin her line. I wonder what the initial E. stands for inyour Walter? There are still quite a few Chicks in Maine, last I knew their was a Chick lumber co. in Madison, NH, close to the Maine border.
