Further to my previous message I would like to post some info on the Chick side of my family (maternal) to see if it ties up with anybody else.

1. My great grandfather was Thomas Chick (born 1840/41)who married Mary Ann Grimster (born 1842)on 11 March 1862 in Ilminster, Somerset, UK.

2. They had the following children:
John Chick 1864
George Chick 1869
William Chick 1872
Annie Chick 1874
Ellen Chick 1876
Tom Chick 1878 - my maternal grandfather
Walter Chick 1881

All born in Ilminster Somerset. By the early 1900s the family had moved to Cardiff in south Wales and my greatrgrandfather Thomas Chick died 12 January 1909 at 4 Picton Place, Cardiff.

My grandfather moved to Chelsea, London, where he married Mary Jemima Dykes before the First World War and had 2 children:
Walter Chick and Elsie Ivy Chick.

Grandfather Tom died in 1913 and my uncle Walter Chick was brought up in Cardiff by his uncle William.

I am trying to trace what happened to any of the above - particularly William Chick of Cardiff.

Jeff Wallder
