Hello there. I'm looking to clarify some information I've found regarding my Chaisson lineage.
My great grandfather was Agneau (Angus) Chaisson, born in Tignish on Dec. 29, 1870. His parents were Sylvain Chiasson and Thersile (Therese) Richard. Sylvain was born on March 31, 1839 and was the son of Cyprien Chiasson and Marie Arseneau.
This is where I'm unsure. Since I haven't even seen any transcribed records, I've had to rely on info. from familysearch.org. What I have is that Cyprien was the son of Meleme Chiasson, born in 1790, and Marie Poirier. In turn, Meleme was the son of Jean Chiasson, born 1758, and Agnes Poirier. Jean was the son of Jacques Chiasson, born 1729.
If anyone is from the same line or has information that would be of help, I would greatly appreciate it.
