Just out of curiosity I checked out an international phone directory and found both Chaisson & Chiasson (most prevalent) in France, but no Giasson's. In Italy I found Giassoni, but no Giasson. Still it would be interesting to know why some of Guyon's descendants changed their name to Giasson & if there is any italian connection.
