Funeral services were held at 2 PM Monday, November 6, 2006, in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Robert James (Bob) Chiasson, age 74, who passed away November 4, 2006. Interment was in Lafayette Memorial Park with the Rev. John deLeeuw conducting the funeral services.
Mr. Chiasson was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Lafayette. He was in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed in the oil and gas service industry and was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn Martin Chiasson; his father, Gaston Paul Chiasson; and his mother, Annette Blanchard Chiasson.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathy Chiasson DuPont and her husband, Larry, of New Orleans; his son, Barry Paul Chiasson and his wife, Joyce, of Houston; his brother Lloyd E. Chiasson, Sr. and his wife, Helen; his nephew Lloyd E. Chiasson, Jr.; and four grandchildren, Jason Paul Chiasson, Kimberly Renee Chiasson, Lawrence Edward DuPont IV, and Claire Marie DuPont.
