It appears Jacques and all or part of his family flee Etang des Berges, Ile St Jean in 1758 to Baie de Chaleurs.Then Jacques and two sons were captured in 1760 and imprisoned on Georges Is.(Halifax) and released 1763.

Historical Note
According to some researchers, the name Chiasson is possibly a variation
of Giasson, which in turn is a variation of Giasso.
Giasso can apparently be traced to Northern Italy.
