Hi John,
I am related also through Basile Chiasson. Myself, Thomas Deveau (my Father), Luce Chiasson (my grandmother), then Damien Chiasson, Thomas Chiasson, Basile Chiasson, Paul Chiasson, born about 1727, married to Louise Bourdreau, born abouth 1737, Jacques Chiasson, born abouth 1683, married to Marie-Joseph Arsenault. That's as far as I can go. I do know, however, that Paul Chiasson was living on P.E.I. at the time of the deportation. Basile and his family were among the first founders of Cheticamp.
