VA KY WV Chaney Timeline 1600-1850

In an attempt to connect my own Chaneys to the ancients, I have gone hunting for the ancients and have come up with this timeline with the information I have found.
Here are the ground rules:
1. If you have information to add, please do! Please just change the subject line to describe what you are adding.
2. Don't write asking "where did you find that inforamtion?" I won't respond. I got the information from KYGenWeb Archives, VAGenweb Archives, WVGenWeb Archives, Census, and Library of Virginia Online Databases (digital images). Also, I have been studying maps of Virginia and how it transformed county by county, into Kentucky, and also West Virginia. Many of the counties are listed as being in the state of Virginia. Well, in that time frame they were! West Virginia becoming a state is the last entry.
3. I have kept the spelling as I found it. To ensure this, I used the copy/paste feature of MSWord. The search terms I used (multiple syllable combinations)were:
First syllable: Chaen, Chain, Chan, Chayn, Chean, Cheen, Chein, Chen, Cheyn, Chian, Chien, Chin, Chiyn, Chyn
Second syllable: a, ae, ai, ay, e, ea, ee, ei, ey, i, ia, ie, iy, y, ya, ye, yi
Also: I used both one "n" and two "n"s in my search
4. FYI: I used so many search terms not only due to the fact that census transcribers and clerks of court spelled the way it sounded, but I also allowed for human error on the part of modern transcriptions (typos!)
5. Enjoy! If you would like to print, be warned that MSWord tells me this is an eight page document!
