Am looking for one John Henry Chinn who came from England, birth place unknown. (his daughter)My Grandmother said he was from a place called Treen or Troon in Cornwall, England. He was born January 1861 - 1900 Census of Jackson,Amador Co, California verifies. He was married to Lily Jane GLASSO(E)N (daughter of William Glason & Victoria Russell - mother died in St. Erth, Cornwall Eng). He immigrated to the U.S. in 1880 at age 18. His parents are listed Michael Chinn & Alice Kevern (Keven). If anyone knows of him please contact me. Supposively he came from somewhere in Missouri before he came to California. In California he became a owner of property, hotels(brothels) and a Saloon (called the Xchange in Jackson - few miles from Sutter Creek). Very interesting man.
