Larkin Chew of Spotsylvania

According to Theresa Fisher, author of Forgotten Companions, the PEMBERTON home place was just east of the current town of Spotsylvania on the old Germanna Road and is now part of the Spotsylvania Battlefield. Although no deed has been found, Larkin CHEW (???? - 1770) indicated in his will (27 Mar 1770) that he had sold the land to William prior to 1770.

Does anyone have any information regarding a CHEW/PEMBERTON connection?
