I have a deed written in 1828 between a Henry and Mary Chew of PA and Lemuel H. Garrett, et.al. of Baltimore Co., MD that gives Henry a considerable amount of land in Virginia (now WV) for $1. I am assuming that Henry was somehow related to the Garretts (or Elizabeth Howard, their mother's maiden name). Does anyone have a Chew-Garrett or Chew-Howard connection in his or her family in this area at this time?
