My main interest is the Ballard line, however I can't help but wonder about Ann "Nancy" Johnson b. 1724 in Orange County who married Phillip Ballard abt. 1740 in Orange Co. They named children Larkin Ballard, Johnson Ballard amd Moorman Ballard among others. Could she be the oldest daughter of Ann "Nan" Chew and William Johnston. Ann and William Johnston have no daughter named Ann "Nancy" in the records I have seen, but the age is right, the place is right and the sons names are for SOME reason. Does anyone know???
