Good Chew Web page

Hello to all --

Hope you might find some answers or help here:

http://www.erols.com/ulrich/CHEW-tree.html

Ron has put together a pretty comprehensive tree for the Chews descending from John (though he shows John's wife to be Sarah Bond, not Gale). This page tied in a major connection for me. You will find that the Chews were "movers and shakers" in the colonial period.

Also of note to many of you Chew researchers out there. . . there was a good article on the "Lost Towns" archeological effort presently underway in Anne Arundel County, MD. One of the "targets" of this effort is to determine the location of Herrington. Herrington is the town that Samuel Chew (son of John) laid out upon his arrival in MD in the 1650s -- after effectively being chased out of Virginia.

Good luck in your Chew quests. . .

cheers -- t.
