Chevalier Family Genealogy Forum

Well I have come across some information since our last messages. I think you are on the right track concerning the "P" Chevalier. I have found two piecews of information; one is a Land-Office Military Warrant No. 1691.
I believe the land is part of the Virginia Military District in what is now Ohio. It is fuzzy and a little hard to read. But it is for Anthony Chevalier of VA. Wasn't Montgomery county in this district?
Also from a page of Philadelphia history comes; At the Revocation Pierre Chevalier of a noble family of Normandy fled to England. Soon after this date we find a Pierre Le Chevalier in Charleston, S.C. and Jean Le Chevalier in New York, while Philip Chevalier appears in Delaware as easly as 1677.
Could these be our families? barb
