I am married to Simon Francis Chetwynd-Palmer whose gr. (we don't know how many "great's") Grandmother was Baroness Chetwynd. Apparently to the family's disapproval she married a teacher by the name of "Palmer" - hence the name Chetwynd-Palmer. We also wondered whether "Parva" could not have been bastardized into "Palmer" at some stage.
Do you know anything about this?
Simon's grandfather went to live in India (Nepal) where his father (Peter Maxwell Chetwynd-Palmer) was born. Simon's father was educated at Kings Cantebury and later at Sandhurst. Peter relocated to Northern Rhodesia and later to South Africa where we presently live. Peter died 11 years ago. Coincidentally our son, Jonathan Peter, is also anxious to enter Sandhurst.
I look forward to hearing from you.
