William & Bridget Chester of VA/IRE

I am looking for information on my grgrandfather, John F. Chester's parents. I was told they were William Chester and Bridget McGoff Chester. William was from Staunton VA. The Chesters before him were thought to be from England and the McGoffs from Ireland.
