I am not certain you are looking for the same Chesser. We have a J.D. and Minnie buried in the Lockhart cemetery, Caldwell Ct., Tx/He was an elder brother to my grandmother, Octavia. I have traced the family back to the 1850 census in Montgomery Ct., Al. My ggf and his father are listed. His name was Drayton Almarine Chesser and his father was John S. Chesser, age 57 in 1850. He is listed as being born in S. Carolina but I have been unable to find him there. If this is your line I have found some cousins. We think they came to Tx after 1870. I believe his name was John Daniel. J. D. Chesser was born 1/31/1870 and died 11/11/1934. Minnie was born 8/6/1877 and died 11/2/1940. One of the other brothers was married to Minnie's sister. If you think this is your line, email me @ marthaandroes
@cox-internet.com. Thanks, Martha
