Today I looked in the 1900, 1910, and 1920 census index for Georgia for Walter Edwin or Miles Turner Cheshire but came up empty. However in Hamilton Co., Florida which borders GA., I found the following. There was a Miles T. Cheshire b. 1847 who m. Louisa M. Turner on 15 Jan. 1870 in Marion Co., Fl. They had children 1. Walter b. 1870, 2. Louisa, 3. Laura, 4. Miles, Jr. b. 1876, 5. Judy b. 1878. Miles T. was born in Fl to Barnabus and Mary Florence Lovell Cheshire in Hamilton County, Fl. I did find a couple of Walter Cheshires in North Georgia but parents did not match. Let me know if this helps.
