Thank you for taking time to reply. All I know about Dennis Cheshier is he was born in Virginia around 1800. He married his first wife on Feb 28 1822 in Knox County TN, where he was on the 1830 Census. Her name was Betsy Ault. He married his 2nd wife, Eliza Thomas, my gr-gr-grandmother,on Feb 10 1842 in Grainger County TN, where he was oin the census in 1840. He was in the 1850 Hamilton Co., TN census. He had a son named Calvin Calloway Cheshier, born abt 1845 who was living in Roane County in 1870.
My great grandfather was Albert Dennis Cheshier, born on Aug 22 1850 in Hamilton County TN. Albert married Cynthia Ellen Bush on May 13, 1873 in Rutherford Co., TN. Albert and his wife and mother were in the 1880 Census of Bedford Co., TN. They later moved to Delta County TX.
I had thought that Dennis was connected in some way with the Daniel Cheshier of Grainger Co., TN. My Cheshiers have showed up in records with their name spelled several different ways. But, the correct way they spelled their name was CHESHIER.
I really hope you can give me some get info about Dennis. I look forward to your reply
