It is also my hope as well that more individuals with the Cheshire surname and its derivatives will be tested. The haplogroups for those I have found are as follows. The two Chessers were confirmed as R1b1. The Chesire was also confirmed to be R1b1. Mine was projected to be R1b1c. I still need to get that confirmed but I don't think Familytreedna tests for the S21 marker. Yours was calculated to be at least R1b but would probably be identified as part of a subclade of that group. R1b1 is very common among Western Europeans, but so far none are in the haplogroup I which points to a Scandanavian origin.
