I think we have a "connection" here although it is vague at the moment. I live in the area the Cheshires, Lockwoods,Underhills, Dorlands (also spelled Durling/Darling/Dorlandt etc.) resided in 1800's.
I am a Lockwood descendant and believe it probable that Lucinda Lockwood was the sister of my ancestor, Ellen/Eleanor Lockwood born about 1811, same area of Oyster Bay (I believe they also had a brother, Underhill Lockwood who married Ann Cheshire). Their father is not yet definite but is likely Joseph Lockwood, son of Gilbert, who lived in this area.
Lucinda Lockwood and Elijah Cheshire were married by Rev. Marmaduke Earle of Oyster Bay 11 June 1832.
Ellen Lockwood married Wright Baker; Wright's brother, Richard Baker, also in this area, married Phebe Cheshire.
I have more information on Henry Durland if you are interested.
