Sorry I didn't answer you sooner, I have been very busy and only did minimun genealogy, so haven't looked at Cheshire site for a long time. I appreciate your message. I think my John Baptist is probably a cousin to your Baptiste. I have looked at their family and from what can see, the relationship probably came earlier. I have never been able to trace my John Baptist before 1800 when he appears on the Ky tax lists, he served in the VA line during Rev, but can't find him in VA. He is referred to as John Baptist or John Baptiste also. His wife is referred to in his estate papers as Sarah Baptist Cheshire so I don't know if she might have a Baptist surname and perhaps they were cousins. It's very frustrating. But really appreciate your help.
