Did you mean that Hezekiah Richard CHESHIRE married Sarah Jane McKINNIE, and not that she was his mother?I have seen the Tennison CHESHIRE family in records of Rowan (later Davie) County, NC, as they had dealings with a number of my different lines there.
You may want to look at Faye Moran's site that has information on this CHESHIRE family.

If this is your family, you may also be interested that there are letters from this family in the Jacob Sheek and Jonathan Smith Papers, Collection #4765, Manuscript Department, Perkins Library, Duke University, Durham, NC.
There is an 1832 letter from Jonathan CHESHIER and wife Elisabeth [as they signed their names] witten to "brother and sister" and addressed to "Jacope SHEAKS" in "North Carolina, Rowan County, Mocksvill".In the letter, Teneson and [wife] Eavey CHESHIER, and Jonathan [CHESHIER, Jr.] and [wife] Nancy and John and Mary SAINER all ask to be remembered to them.In the same envelope is another letter in the same handwriting to "Dear uncel and aunt" [not signed] that mentions "we have another daughter and call her name Marthy Jane and she was born the 6 of July."
The relationships get confusing, because Jonathan CHESHIER through his second wife Elizabeth SAIN was brother-in-law to Jaocb SHEEK, as Jacob's wife Sarah SAIN was a sister to Elizabeth.Jonathan CHESHIER's third wife Elizabeth WELLMAN was his niece [by marriage], as she was the daughter of Mary SAIN [sister to Sarah and Elizabeth] and her husband Jeremiah WELLMAN.To throw in some more confusion, Jonathan CHESHIER's second wife Elizabeth SAIN was a first cousin to Jonathan's son Tennison CHESHIRE's wife Eavey SAIN.
There is also another 1836 letter from Jonathan CHESHIER Senr. and Elizabeth CHESHIER in Bolivar, Tennessee, Hardiman County to "Brother and Sister"addressed to "Jacob SHEEKS" at "Mocksville, Rowan County, N.C." [different handwriting from the 1832 letters] Mentions "son Tennison and his family" and "Son Jonathan and his family" and "Aunt Molly SANE."Also says to "Remember me to Mother and tell her that I shall Shortly write her a letter."
