Re: Wilson Cheshire/Cheser/Chesser, NC

I have an anscestor, Wilson Chesser who died in Lincoln County, NC, circa 1835. According to older census records, he was the first Cheshire/Cheser/Chesser to be found in Lincoln County, NC. He married twice and had at least one son (Ephraim A. Chesser who married Mahala Elizabeth Shirrell) by his first wife, Nancy Keller.

I think Wilson may have been born in eastern NC but have nothing concrete. BTW, there was an older generation Wilson Cheshire from Chowan County, NC who was the son of a Captain John Cheshire whose ship went down during the Revolutionary War.

Any input would be appreciated.
