Elizabeth Cherry b. 181? married
James McAfee b. 1809 in Wayne County,
Wooster, Ohio on Nov. 12, 1846. James
was an emigrant from Co. Antrim, Ireland
in 1838. His 1st wife, Rachel Dinsmore,
died in 1842.
Elizabeth is said to have come from the
Cherry family of the Colonial and Indian
War times.
James & Elizabeth (Cherry) McAfee
moved to Wells County, Indiana after
1850.
Their children include:
Samuel b. 1840 (Rachel's son)
William b. 1843 (Rachel's son)
Matilda Jane b. 1848 (Elizabeth's daughter)
