Looking to prove parents of Peter Francis Cherry b. ca Dec 1814 in Westmoreland Co., PA. They may be (1) William David Cherry & 1st wife (not Mary Ann/Polly Murphy that Wm married in July 1815 in Guernsey Co., Ohio) or (2) Robert & Hannah (unknown) Cherry. Peter married Charlotte Nesselrode Nov 1834 in Morgan Co., Ohio. Peter & Charlotte had 14 children, 11 born in Ohio and the last 3 born in Warren Co., Iowa where they moved to ca 1855/56. Peter died of tuberculosis caught while he was a fifer in the Civil War. Charlotte died in Norwalk Twp, Warren Co, Iowa Feb 1907. Both are buried at Linn Grove Cemetery in Warren Co., Iowa. I and seveal other are looking for the parents of Peter and also Charlotte's grandparents. We have a ton of info on Peter's ancestors once we prove his parents because we know what family he links to.
We also have lots on their descendents to share.
