Hi, I am looking for the Daughter of Jessy Cherry and Robert Howell. She was given up for adoption to a Doctor and moved to Florida. Or so that is what we think happened to her.
Robert Howell was born in 1900. He married Jessy Cherry and had a son Hardemon and daughter Laverne. When the couple divorced, Uncle Robert took Hardemon and Jessy took Laverne.
They were from idlewild, Gibson, Tennessee.
Soon after, Jessy decided to give up Laverne (she had curly red hair)(would have been a little girl).
It was told that she gave her to a doctor and his wife who were from either Florida, or could be Alabama.
I'm sure that she has passed away by now. But it was something that has always bothered my side of the family losing her.
