Hi,
I've just read your post, I also am trying to research the Cherry line. My great Aunt "Tin" (either Creek or Choctaw) married a man by the surname of Cherry. I believe they met in Mo. maybe married there. They did live in both Ar & La. They grew cotton & rice. Tin's husband ran off and for many years she raised a Dean Cherry until "someone" took him away (some family member). I really don't have much on this line though I am told I am related to the Cherry's in Mo (St. Louis area), Ar (Manila area) and that some have moved farther south through the years. I am supposed to get together with a second cousin who is supposed to have alot of missing information right after the holidays (hunting season), If I run across anything that relates to you I will definately send it your way.In the mean time if Tin or Dean sound familiar to you please let me know. Tin died in the late 40's to early 50's and Dean would be between 50 & 60 now (I believe, from what pieces I've put together). I do know that the rest of the family was ashamed of Tin being married to a Cherry. That is all I really have at this time. Wish I had more and hope to soon.
Thanks,
Pamela
