I have recently found out that the information in this message was wrong. My Great-Grandfather name wasn't Edward Cherry. His name was Arthur Edward Cherry. He was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1875. He also went by Edward Cherry ergo the confusion. In the 1920 and 30 census he states that both his parens were born in Missouri.
My Great-Grandmother's name was also wrong. It was Mina or Minnie Boissell or Boisell, born in Quebec Canada in 1877. Now some of this information came from a copy of their eldest son Leroy Cherry's marriage license and application, that I obtained a few months ago.Minnie came to this country in 1887 or 1889 according to 1920 Indiana Census. It states that both her parents were born in French Canada. I can only assume that they married in Toledo Ohio just before the turn of the century, because their eldest son Leroy stated that he was born in Toledo, Ohio. They must have moved to Indianapolis, Indiana sometime between 1900 and 1901 because all the other children were born in Indiana. Anyone having any information on Arthur Edward Cherry and Mina or Minnie Boissell or Boisell would be greatly appreciated - Rita L. Wells
