Greetings,
My grandmother was Era Pearl Cherry Morrison. My great-grandfather was John Wellington Cherry (1856-1938). John married Minnie Griffis. He was the son of William Cherry and Keziah Moore. William died during the Civil War. Keziah then married James Cross. She died giving birth to William Cross.
It is my understanding that William Cherry's father was also named William and was a doctor in Illinois in the early 1800s.
My information fits with your posting. We must be related!
