I'm curious about my g grandfather. His name was Johm Benjamin Cherry. Born around 1844 in Rutherford County (not sure if it's Rutherford County TN or NC). He received a small Federal Pension from the Civil War until he died around 1929. His mother's maiden name may have been Pearcy. The childen I know about are James Henry (Uncle Pete), my grandfather, Frank and Coll (daughter).
