What I have is as follows: de Cherrie came from France and were french hugonauts. They migrated to England to get away from persecution. My branch went to Antrim Ireland and then to South Carolina, then to North Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Texas and Oklahoma. The name changed to Cherry in England. There are other branches that came to Pennsylvania and Virginia.
It is very difficult to find information if you don't know some names and states.
