John Cherry, disappeared, England 1907

My great uncle John Cherry; b. Barton Hartshorn, Bucks, England,1882; married Gertrude Marietta Lucas, Chetwode, Bucks, 1904; disappeared with out trace in 1907. It is believed he emigrated. Has anybody come across a John or Jack Cherry without any apparent roots. OK, so he probably changed his name, but its worth a try.... P.S. I have photographs of him.
