Mr. Steiner,
I am happy to hear from you. I hoped that you might have remembrances of Samuel Allison Barnes, Alice's father. He was a son of my great grandfather, Adolphus Barnes. My aunt, who is still living, but frail, remembers her grandfather but did not remember al other branches of the family, as she was about five years old when Adolphus died. My grandmother, another of Adolphus children, Bertha Clark died long before I was born. I am researching my family because they were so loved by my mother, and now I am puting down my family history for my sister, her five daughters and my daughter. So, past Samuel's obituary, I do not have any other information except what is in Adolphus Bible and excerpts from the book I mentioned. I have purchased both sets of RCI history and continue to make contact with cousins. I hope to make a trip to RCI to visit the places in the county where my relatives lived. I would gladly pay for a copy of a photo of Samuel if one existed. Please email me privately for more discussion of family or any help you can give about Samuel's life. Aside from facts, I wanted to write narratives about each person on our family tree.
