It may be that this John is the son of Adolphus H. Chenoweth and Laura V. Clemmens. They had a son John born ca 1874 as found in the 1880 Census of Carroll Co., MD. I have never had a contact in this family and we do not know who Adolphus was. Thank you for your information.
ADOLPHUS H.2 CHENOWETH (?1) was born December 1850 in Maryland, and died January 31, 1930. He married (1) LAURA V. CLEMMENS. She was born Abt. 1850. He married (2) FLORENCE P. CLARKE April 20, 1898 in Maryland. She was born July 1879 in Maryland.
