I am somewhat knowlegeable about your
lineage in pursuing my own which includes
the Rev. James Bruce Chenoweth married
as his second wife Elizabeth Davis. I have
family out of Mason Co., KY. and notes
out of Ross Co., Ohio with a Foster and
a Chenoweth family having arived there
from Ky. earlier...I suggest you research
this in depth more then I have. Sarah
Ann Davis, whom was raised by Elizabeth
Davis Chenoweth is my maternal lineage
she married Jeremiah R. Larkins, This
lineage was out of Beauru Co., Illinois.
The parents of Jeremiah Larkins was
William E. Larkins m. Racheal Reed (Read) out of Somerset Co., Pa. We
have the Reed/Purcell/Strawn family
lines. James B. Chenoweth had a daughter by his first marriage..Mary E.;
may been a wife of James Riley......Wm.
E. Larkins came to Oregon in 1847 by
wagon-train...his daughters married the
sons of the Barlow toll-gate Road and
one of the first houses at the end of the
line is historic "Foster Farm"....they are
also connected the the Graham family
of Ross Co., Ohio by marriage. Good
Luck...I am told Edward Chenoweth was
James B. Chenoweth Uncle or father...
he has land deeds with Wm. Lackey on
Lackey's Creek..Blount Co. Tenn ....
I am thinking it read 1794 or 1801...would
like to know more about them as I have a
lot of conflicting data on the Rev. James
B. Chenoweth...seems like everyone is
"kin"......
