In Reply to: David CHENAULT/ Nancy TRIBBLE by Elizabeth A. Laird of 177

I am not descended from David Chenault, but from Benjamin Chenault, d 1767 Bedford Co, Va; however do have the following on David:
David Chenault b 30 Sep 1771, Albemarle Co, Va; d 1851, Madison Co, Ky; m Apr 1794, Nancy Tribble, b 6 Nov 1778, Madison Co, Ky (she was daughter of Andrew Tribble, b 22 Mar 1741; m 1768,Sallie Burris, b Sep 30 1753).

David, son of William Chenault, moved w/his family to Ky in fall of 1786 and settled near Richmond in Madison Co. He joined the Baptist church at Mt Nebo abt 1793 and was baptized by Peter Woods. He began his own ministry 1800-1803. Among churches he preached to, even into old age, were Unity, Cane Spring, Log-Lick, White Oak Pond, Mt Tabor, Stoner's Branch and Union. He was also a farmer and held office of Justice of the Peace, Madison Co, Ky for about 20 years.

I also have a transcript of the Bible Record of Rev Andrew Tribble, along w/transcripts of Family Record of Nancy Tribble and David Chenault, Family Record of Samuel Tribble and Polly Martin, and partial Bible Record of Dudley Tribble, Sr and Matilda Ann Tevis, and Bible Record of Dudley Tribble, Jr and Bible Record of James Polk Tribble. Am willing to share.

Betty
