The New Chenault Family Red Book shows as follows:

11353.111 - Magnus Jackson Chennault born 15 Oct 1868; died 23 Oct 1954 in Dallas Texas married Florence Cornelia Beasley born 30 Sep 1871; died 22 Oct 1896 in Hot Springs Arkansas.

11353.11- Thomas Henderson Chennault born 4 Sept 1845 in MS died 30 Dec 1925 in Paris TX; married Sarah Saunders. He fought in the Civil War and the family moved to Texas in 1880.

If this is your line then the Red Book carries this family ancestry back another 6 Generations to Esteinne Chenau (Stephen Chenault) who came to this country from France in the 1700s.
