Have found the tombstone of C.C. Chennault in the Scott Wright's Ford Cemetery just north of Rayville, LA; on the same marker is: born 28 April 1823 d. 13 Feb. 1862; records indicate he was shot and killed by a blacksmith. Christopher was the sherrif and was on his way to arrest the blacksmith. Also on the same marker is Wm Lathrum b. 13 March 1825 d. 1 Dec. 1872. Anyone with family information on this Chennault and his family in Richland Parish?
