James B. Washington b. Oct. 27, 1922 s/o Annie Boyce Buchanan(Chennault) passed away 2/27/02 in Miami, Fla., he was 79 years old. He was laid to rest in Miami Memorial Park, Miami, Fla., next to his beloved mother Annie Boyce Buchanan (Chennault). Jimmy is survived by three children: Debra Ann Starnes of Cary, NC, Terrie Jean Routh of Yellville, AR, and James Allen Washington of Riverdale, MD., a sister Juanita Jackson of Ft. Meyers, Fla., 4 grandchildren and 1 ggrandchild.
Mr. Washington was a founding 47-year member of the Everglades Conservation and Sportsmans Club, a 56-year member of Ironworkers local #272 Miami, Fla, a WWII veteran that went into 5 invasions with two purple hearts, and a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Jimmy loved fishing and hunting, and was a single parent that raised his three children alone. He will be missed by all those that knew him and loved him.
