Searching for James "Jim" Henry Cole and Ida Bell Cheeney parents of James Andrew Cole. According to his Delayed Birth Record, J.A. Cole was born in Llano Co Tex on 11 Mar 1881. This record, filed in 1944, claims that his father James Henry Cole was b. ca. 1851 in Richmond (Henrico) Va, and his mother Ida Bell Cheeney (Cheney?) was b. ca. 1856 in Rochester (Monroe) NY. J.A. lived in Hill Co Tex in 1910 and 1930; Jackson Co Okla 1920, and Johnson Co Tex in 1918 (WWI Draft Regr.) He married Minnie Ola Reagan (on whom I have much) presumably on 2 Dec 1906 (I have no record). J.A. died on 3 May 1969 Dallas (Dallas) Tex. His death record shows parents Jim Cole and Ida Cheeney. According to his obit. he had two living sisters: Mrs. Sam Bush (no info) and Mrs. Daisy Cook. I found a Daisy wife to Jesse H. Cook in 1920 Jackson Co Okla and 1930 Harmon Co Okla. An informant on J.A.'s birth record was Annie Laurie Rabb, perhaps another sister. She and her husband George W. were enumerated in the following: 1900 Travis Tex, 1910 McLennan Tex, and 1920-1930 Jackson Okla. Census shows that she was born in Tenn in 1875, that he fa. b. in Va and ma. b. in NY. If Annie Rabb is a sister, than James H Cole and Ida B Cheeney lived in Tenn for a time, perhaps married there. I have been unable to find any record, census or otherwise on James and Ida (Cheeney) Cole. I would be grateful for any information about this family. Thanks for your time.
